KPSS Map Game — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the KPSS Map Game mobile application (the "App") handles user data. The App is an educational geography quiz game about Turkey. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. In short

• You do not need to create an account or sign in.
• We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone).
• No location permission is requested.
• No ads are shown.
• Your progress (scores, achievements) is stored primarily on your device.

2. Data We Collect / Process

a) Data stored on your device

Your high scores, game progress, mastery/weak-topic tracking and settings are kept only in your device's local storage. This data is not sent to our servers and is removed from your device when you uninstall the App.

b) Online (multiplayer) mode — optional

Only if you choose to join an online match with a room code, the following data is temporarily processed on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore):

• a randomly generated player ID created on your device (a nickname-style ID that does not identify you),
• the room code and match state,
• in-game data (score, number of correct/incorrect answers, progress).

This data does not personally identify you and is used only to run the match. It becomes obsolete when the match ends or the room is closed.

c) Maps service

The App uses Google Maps Platform to display maps. While providing the maps service, Google may process technical data (e.g. approximate device/usage information) under its own privacy policy.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following services provided by Google LLC:

• Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) — online mode backend. Firebase privacy

4. Permissions

The App uses only the internet access permission (required for maps and online mode). No sensitive permissions such as camera, location, contacts or files are requested.

5. Data Security and Retention

• Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
• Online room data is processed on Google infrastructure and is temporary.
• On-device data is deleted when you uninstall the App.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adults preparing for the KPSS exam and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates are published on this page and the "Last updated" date above is revised accordingly.
